Yesterday, May,16,2011 , BitDefender, the leader security software company has announced on a beta version of Mobile Security for Android. It uses cloud scanning technology which will in turn make the software light, efficient and always up-to-date for future threats.
Because Android is an open-source OS, it is open to all developer and companies, unfortunately it is open to malicious hacker too (See this post for more information). Many Trojan malware has been detected in the Android Market, although it has been cleaned quickly, yet, installing un-signed application is still a big threat.
After Installation, BitDefender will scan each app you download from the Market and give you a report whether the app is clean and safe to use or not.
